Twitter Now Forces You to Use its Own Image Service in its Mobile Apps

Posted on 22:17 by Unknown

We knew it was coming, but with the release of its new iOS apps earlier today, Twitter has confirmed that it has dropped the option allowing users to select a third-party image upload service, forcing them instead to use its own service powered by Photobucket.

When entering the options screen in the iPhone or iPad app, Twitter no longer shows an option for “Image service,” instead providing choices only for video upload and read later services:
IMG 0012 520x693 Twitter now forces you to use its own image service in its mobile apps
Previously, Twitter allowed users to choose from Twitter’s own option but also provided support for yFrog, TwitPic, Mobypicture, Twitgoo, Posterous (now owned by Twitter) and img.ly.
Buzzfeed — which broke the news of a potential change in Twitter’s services three days ago — spoke with Twitpic founder Noah Everett, who said he understood the decision but wished it was different:
“They’re trying to control those eyeballs on their apps, they’re an ad-based company, they make money that way.”
The move is part of Twitter’s wider drive to deliver a ‘consistent‘ experience for users. To date, the most high-profile example of this has been restrictions on the growth of third-party Twitter clients, which caused a stink in the developer community last month.
For posterity, here’s what the image upload options used to look like in Twitter for iPhone/iPod touch.

Samsung Dismisses Galaxy SIV Launch Rumors

Posted on 20:49 by Unknown
A day after it was reported that it would launch the successor to its popular Galaxy S III at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next year, Samsung has taken to its official Twitter account to put an end to rumors of a Galaxy S4 unveiling early next year.
Samsung Dismisses Galaxy S4 Launch Rumors

The tweet, which was posted to the company’s Korean account, addresses media reports and states that the “rumor is not true”:
The Korean Times report sourced anonymous company officials, suggesting that the unreleased device’s features would be “more than enough to curb Apple’s latest iPhone,” sport a 5-inch screen, would “definitely use” global LTE networks and utilise Samsung’s Exynos processor.
Samsung decided it would skip Mobile World Congress this year and follow up with an event of its own. With Apple’s iPhone 5 dominating the headlines shortly after launching and becoming available for preorder, a speculative Samsung report helped draw attention away from Apple.
Samsung’s response puts an end to rumors of an upcoming Galaxy S4 launch, for now. The Galaxy S III is heading for 30 million sales by the end of the year – it’s already the company’s bestselling smartphone, so questions would need to be asked as to why increased focus would be placed on its successor.

Google buys Snapseed's photo-editing service

Posted on 02:49 by Unknown

Google has snapped up the digital photo editing service Snapseed as part of its effort to compete against Facebook's online social network.
Snapseed is the centrepiece of Google's acquisition of Nik Software, which developed the service's photo-editing technology.
The deal announced Monday gives Google a popular service that competes against Facebook's Instagram, whose tools are widely used to display, touch up and share photos taken on smartphones and tablet computers.
Facebook bought Instagram for $715 million in a deal that closed last month.
Google Inc. didn't disclose the terms of the Nik Software acquisition.
Snapseed could be used to increase usage of Google Plus, a social networking alternative to Facebook.
Although it has grown rapidly since its debut nearly 15 months ago, Google Plus is still experimenting with different features aimed at getting Web surfers to check into the service more frequently.
Google Plus now has about 400 million accountholders, according to a post Monday by Vic Gundotra, a Google executive who oversees the service. About 100 million users come to Google Plus each month, Gundotra said. Facebook boasts 955 million active users.

The No follow Tag in Blogging

Posted on 22:51 by Unknown
I Think Most of the Bloggers are Aware of the Term "Nofollow".As We all Know that This Term Indicates the Search Engines Not To Follow the Specific Link or Not to give it a Page Rank Juice.Since it Doesn't Pass Any Page rank Opportunity Do You Know What's the Use of this Tag ? Why it is Created ?

Why it Was Created ?

Actually the Term "Nofollow" Was Created to Reduce or Stop the Spamming Specially Via Online Comments.Well Most of the Bloggers and Webmasters Face the Problem When Talking to the Comments Section.Due to the Dofollow Attributes the Spammers Will Get a Benfit I mean Backlinks  and the Blog Owners Doesn't See Any Improvement in Search engine Ranking Due to this. So To Cure this Situation Eventually "Rel='Nofollow'" Tag Was Created. This Tag Can Also be Used Where if a Blogger Doesn't Want to Follow a Specific Post or Link By the Search Engines. It Paves the Way for the Search engines And Indicates them Not to follow the Link.

How Does Google Notifies the Nofollow Tag ?

The Links in Which the Nofollow tag Was Introduced is Not Crawled by the Google.Even Google Doesn't Transfer Your Page Rank to that Links. It Doesn't Mean That Google Will Not Index that Link But it Only indicates the Search Engine  Not to Follow that Specific Link

Where Does Google Recommends Adding This Tag ?

Google recommends this Tag To the Links Which Are Prone to Spamming and Which Are Not Trust Worthy. Because Linking to Such Type of LInks May Reduce Your Page Ranking and Eventually our ONline Reputation.I Recommend You to Use this Tag in Comment Section of Your Blog. For Instance See the Below Example.

  1. <a href="http://goodinblogging.blogspot.com" rel="nofollow">GIB</a>
    <a expr:href='data:comment.authorUrl' rel='nofollow'>
Also Make Sure to Check This : Dofollow-Nofollow : What Makes the Difference.

These Are the Some of Common Concepts of the Nofollow Tags in BLogging. Follow these Steps to Get Success. If You Know Some More Points Let us kNow in Comments.

5 Effective Tips to Differentiate and Make Your Blog Unique

Posted on 20:31 by Unknown
Now a Days The success of a blog depends on a number of factors : the type of content that is written, for instance. Or the way it is marketed online.

But to be able to differentiate yourself from the Other Bloggers and to make your blog “unique” is a job that requires commitment, perseverance and willpower.
5 Effective Tips to Differentiate and Make Your Blog Unique

As in all things, also promoting a blog requires many small steps that can be more or less useful. Here below, you can read 5 effective ways to differentiate your blog from the others and make it unique.

Draw Original Graphics For your Blog.

An Original Gaphical Interface which is unique and different from any other causes that your blog is easily kept imprinted in the mind of your visitors, especially the occasional ones, that end up on your pages almost by accident.

The next step is obviously to combine an unique theme and a customized header with an original logo: this will be your brand, and you want it to remain in the mind of your visitors.

So, forget about free themes and templates built by others. At most, you can use them for inspiration, but make sure that your blog look unique and different : you will see that your visitors will remember it much more easily.

Make Clever Usage of Media:.

Photos, images, videos, podcasts, audio extracts, are all very useful to attract the attention of your readers, if used in the right size and placed “strategically” within the pages.

If a Blog is filled with multimedia content will be very slow to open even with the fastest of connections, which produce a single, obvious result : your visitors will leave your blog even before it has finished loading.

Therefore, publish images and video when you need them, and remember that – except for a few cases – it must be an enrichment for the content.

Also in this case, you need to be original. Spend some time looking for eye-catching images and capable of intrigue. In other words, “never seen before” media.

Be the First to Treat a New Topic:.

Another way to generate interest in your blog and stand out from the crowd is to tackle as first a topic or a story that is going to “explode”. If you will be fast, your article will be the first to be be indexed by search engines, reported on social networks and found by the public users and web surfers.

Obviously also the quality of your content makes the difference: a good article, reasoned and full of information will achieve better results than an incomplete and carelessly written post.

Divide the Story into Interesting Episodes

Split into related parts a long article is a good strategy to make sure that the public come back to visit you. And a “smart” subdivision of your content will also generate a certain expectation in readers and many of them will take your RSS Feeds in order to not miss the next post published.

Try to Offer Something Useful or Different Content in Your Blog

Have you noticed that newspapers and magazines occupy only a fraction of the space in a newsstand, and they are often overwhelmed by hoards of DVDs, CDs and gadgets of all kinds?

These are goods attached as gift in newspapers and magazines, and which more and more often end up to be the true driving force of sales.
Here, think of your blog as a small kiosk, and do not just write rivers of articles, but also think in what you may offer to “outfit”.

Your gift will be the possibility to download free resources, as ebooks, online courses, tools, etc. anything that your audience can find useful! But also imagine somehing to make more attractive to your visitors to remain on your pages, such as newsletters, contests and competitions. It is an extra work but if done right, can bring great benefits.
